Laura Bermudez is an associate attorney at MLM. Laura is an experienced special education attorney and litigator whose practice at MLM includes all aspects of school law, with a primary focus in school policy, Title IX, general and special education, student discipline, and student services. Laura has litigated cases at the Massachusetts Appeals Court Single Justice, Superior Court, and District Court, as well as Massachusetts administrative agencies including the Bureau of Special Education Appeals and Massachusetts Parole Board. Laura has given trainings in school law, student discipline, civil commitment hearings, and trial practice, and guest lectured on criminal justice at Sam Houston State University. In 2019, Northeastern Law Magazine profiled Laura and her litigation before the Massachusetts Parole Board.

Laura joined the firm in 2024.

Laura earned her B.A., cum laude, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law.

Laura is a member of the Massachusetts bar.
