Principal Shareholder

Michelle McNulty is a principal shareholder and attorney at MLM. She has extensive experience in municipal and school law, including labor and employment law, collective bargaining, and education law. She has handled cases in all levels of litigation, including at the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, Appeals Court, and Superior Court, as well as administrative agencies such as the Massachusetts Department of Labor Relations, the Commonwealth Employment Relations Board, the Joint Labor-Management Committee, the Civil Service Commission, and the Department of Unemployment Assistance. Michelle has also handled contract arbitrations, including those through the American Arbitration Association. Michelle has been at MLM since 1986, starting as a law clerk before joining as an attorney. She serves as Town Counsel for the Town of Whitman, Massachusetts.

Education and Licenses

Michelle earned her B.A. from Boston University and her J.D. from Boston College Law School.

Michelle is a member of the Massachusetts bar and is also licensed to practice at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Supreme Court.

Michelle is a member and past President of the Massachusetts Council of School Attorneys and a member of the Massachusetts Municipal Lawyers Association, and she has been a contributing author to Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. treatises on municipal and school law since 2002.
