Principal Shareholder

Paige Tobin is a principal shareholder and attorney at MLM. She has extensive experience in school law, including school policy, general and special education, student discipline, and student services. Paige has litigated cases at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, Appeals Court, and Superior Court, as well as administrative agencies such as the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and Bureau of Special Education Appeals (BSEA). In addition to her representation of school districts, she is a frequent lecturer at professional conferences, workshops, and seminars on general and special education topics throughout Massachusetts, and she regularly consults with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the state legislature on educational policy and legislation. She has happily practiced law for over 30 years and is honored to have long-standing relationships with her school clients.

Education and Licenses

Paige earned her B.A. from Connecticut College and her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, where she served as an editor of the Suffolk Transnational Law Journal.

Paige is a member of the Massachusetts bar and is also licensed to practice at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Professional Associations

Paige serves as an Advisor to the Massachusetts Administrators of Special Education Association (ASE) and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Council of School Attorneys. Paige is also a commentator for the Massachusetts Special Education Reporter and a contributing author to the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. treatise on school law, and she has taught courses in special education and school law at Bay Path University.
